Up until this point it wasn't common for residential homes to have central air conditioning. The 80s saw more and more Hendrix customers install whole home cooling, and the heat pump became a more desirable home comfort system.

It was in these years that ductless heat pumps started to gain popularity as an option for homes. With a record number of installations and Installations of the highest industry standards, Hendrix Heating was named Ductless Heat Pump Project’s Contractor of the Year in 2013.
